Betty Prosser

betty-prosserA variety thought in 1995 to be “new to science”, found only on a remote farm in Corse, but further research by the National Perry Pear Centre found a reference in old Long Ashton records to it growing in an orchard near Monmouth.  Investigation found it in more than one orchard in that area.
