99PINES is proud to be resident perry maker at Hartpury Orchard Centre, the home of the National Perry Pear Centre. Originally based in Kents Green, at the foot of May Hill (the epicentre of English Perry, topped with 99 Pine trees .. probably) we relocated down the road to Hartpury in Autumn 2024.
99PINES is run by volunteers passionate about perry, seeking out rare varieties to produce small batch single varieties and blends raise funds to support perry heritage and local charities.
Since initial sales in 2023 we have raised nearly £7,000 for Hartpury Heritage Trust (perry promotion and heritage) and the amazing folks at Teens in Crisis, Micheldean (teenage mental health charity) and St Richards Hospice, Worcester.

In 2025 we will be releasing 2 collections:
The Original 99PINES collection, sourced from local heritage orchards and gardens on and around May Hill.
The National Perry collection and micro-collections, sourced from the National Perry Collections at Hartpury Orchard Centre and Malvern Three Counties Showground.
Producing less than 2,000 litres a year, our limited runs vary in size from 10 to 300 litres presented in 330ml, 500ml, 750ml with draughts available on-tap at Hartpury.
But where can I get some?
You can purchase both collections at the Orchard Centre Taproom (see Events page for spring / summer open days) and during various tasting and promotion events throughout the year (yep .. see Events page again).
We also supply a limited range locally to The Runcible Spoon Deli, Newent and the May Hill Hub (Friday collections from May Hill village hall). You can also find a limited range at the (amazing) online bottle shop thecatintheglass.com.
2025 Volunteer Harvest / Pressing dates
This year we’re calling on our band of volunteers to help us harvest the National Perry Collections (Hartpury and Malvern 3 Counties Showground) and heritage perry orchards within 5 miles of Hartpury.
As a Community Interest Company (CIC) we meet many organisations criteria for community volunteering days. These are a huge help for us, and can be great fun for individuals and a fabulous opportunity for teambuilding away from the office.
A typical day would involve a 0900 meet and brief at the Orchard Centre, before travelling (if not picking at Hartpury) to Malvern, or a local perry orchard. We will spend the morning collecting fruit in a beautiful orchard, before loading up and heading back to Hartpury for lunch (BBQ provided). In the afternoon you’ll be hands-on with the press, turning the fruit into delicious juice!
This year we are dedicating 2 full harvest weeks: Monday 22nd September – Saturday 27th September and Monday 29th September – Saturday 4th October. We are also seeking helpers for Saturdays during the extended season, from Saturday 6th September through to Saturday 8th November.
If you’re interested in helping we’d love to hear from you! For more details please email us at phil@99pines.com.
Trade Supplies
We have a limited stock each year that we are able to provide at trade. Unfortunately we’re not able to meet all requests, but will try our best to help!
